Camp 1966 Mission Statement
Our mission as the First, Farthest and Last Camp is to preserve and guard the Confederate Soldier's virtues and ideals. Camp 1966 will always strive to promote our Southern Heritage through educational avenues, both in schools and the community. Our camp will work to preserve, maintain and promote Civil War sites in our community and our great state of North Carolina. And most importantly, we will do all to protect and preserve the good name of our Confederate Ancestors.
Where our camp is heading:
--> Double the size of our camp within one year.
--> Continue our work in replacing the headstones of Confederate Soldiers in Asheboro       and surrounding areas.
--> To do more Living History projects for the schools and the community.
--> To be more actively involved in community parades.
--> Be available to help other camps in the surrounding areas with their projects.
